How Serta’s FireBlocker Technology Works
Every one of the Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses and box springs are manufactured using FireBlocker, which is a fire barrier system made from Serta’s proprietary blend of synthetic and natural fibers. This fiber blend is designed to isolate a fire, limit its spread and slow it down dramatically.
That extra time gives individuals and families a chance to escape, call for help or put out a smoldering fire.
What You Should Know Before Purchasing a Mattress
If you’re purchasing a mattress soon, make sure you look for the CPSC label that designates a mattress complies with the new national standards for flammability. Any mattress made before July 2007 may not comply with this standard, so check carefully.
While all Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses made after 2005 come equipped with FireBlocking technology, the CPSC tag indicating this won’t appear on models made before July 2007.
