While they won’t be as high quality as a full-sized memory foam mattress, they can add an extra layer of comfort.

However, the pad is actually comprised of a 1.5-inch layer of Memory foam that is then supported by basic foam and a standard mattress pad. So, while it’s thick and comfortable, it’s not a full 4-inches of memory foam.
The Canopy memory foam mattress pads also tend to be quite soft, particularly the 4-inch model. They’re not suited for sleepers who prefer a firmer sleeping surface.

This is a basic memory foam mattress pad by Serta that features 1.5-inches of memory foam and retails for a very wallet-friendly $110.
Admittedly, the Serta model isn’t as thick as other budget brands, but it’s also constructed wholly of memory foam and backed by a Serta guarantee. It’s also better suited to sleepers who like a firmer mattress.
The 4-Inch Memory Foam Mattress Pad by Absolute Comfort
The problem with most memory foam mattress toppers is that they can easily slip off the mattress or shift in the night. Absolute Comfort solved this problem by developing a memory foam mattress pad that’s actually connected to a bed skirt or fitted sheet which holds the topper in place.
While the Absolute Comfort model has some extra features, it also comes with a higher price. Expect to pay around or close to $225 for the Absolute Comfort 4-inch memory foam mattress topper.
The 2-Inch Memory Foam Topper by Personal Expressions
Sold by Sears and backed by a powerful Sears warranty, the Personal Expressions model features 2-inches of memory foam – a great value at just $150.
In terms of memory foam per dollar spent, the Personal Expressions memory foam mattress toppers are at the top of the overall value list.
Customers get an exceptional memory foam experience for a low price tag. However, these models also tend to yellow quickly particularly when exposed to sweat and customers should protect them with a mattress cover.
